Tanairi Santos

Tanairi is a New York native, born in the Bronx and raised in Throggs Neck, New York. She lived in North Carolina for thirteen years and in that time worked with Veterans at the Fayetteville, NC, Fayetteville VA Medical Center where she discovered her passion for the Mental Health Field. Tanairi has earned two Master’s Degree in Health Administration from Trident University International in May of 2015 as well as an earned Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CACREP Accredited) from Capella University in June of 2022. Additionally, she has an earned Bachelor’s Degree in Health Educator from Trident University International and an earned Associates Degree in Educator from Suny Empire State College. Tanairi is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, working towards her permanent licensure in the State of Florida. Nonetheless, she is also working towards earning her EMDR Certification and additional certifications related to trauma and addictions. Her prior training and level of experience consist of trauma-focused training and experience as well as working with populations in addiction recovery being dualed trained. Tanairi has over eleven years of experience working with various different populations and has worked in various roles within the Mental Health Field with both Inpatient Psychiatric Facilities/Detox or Residential settings as well as Outpatient Intensive treatment setting. Her approach to treatment is client-centered, trauma-informed and multicultural with the notion that all have the will power and capability to face difficult challenges in life but have the tools to change the trajectory of their future to achieve their goals and reach recovery successfully if they are willing to put in the work to achieve it. Tanairi is a former educator, a mom and a mentor who is passionate, loving, understanding and hard working. Outside of work, Tanairi loves to spend quality time with her family, enjoying little things in life that are meaningful, travel, the arts, a foodie and loves to cook all things in the kitchen, animal lover, enjoy theme parks and nature.
